Big Mike is in the Army at
Schofield Barracks and had a problem. He is 6'8" tall and 250
lbs--even a big bodyboard is no match for his size. He decided
on a 48" board that is about 3" thick in the center and tapers
toward the tail. He provided the measurements off another old
board. Remember that I always recommend "incremental" changes to
the board you currently are riding--and need to make better. He
of course had to have his Army Battalion's logo on his board.
He provided a picture of the logo and I had the artwork done and
a silkscreen made.
Now Mike can catch waves instead of sinking!
His
Email--
Hi Ken,
The board is phenomenal!
First time out with it was on some double overhead at chun's
reef. It floated me really well and catching bombs was as easy
as pie. I love the board which my buddies have dubbed, "The
Iceberg" due to it's size! Of course I see fellow big guys out
on tiny store bought boards and they are blown away by the
iceberg!
Keep doing what you do best and I'll be ordering a duplicate for
my little "equally large" brother!
V/r,
Michael |
