KENU Rescue Bodyboard
Who you going to call? The Honolulu Lifeguards had a
problem. Their rescue surfboards were fast to paddle but were
sometimes just too big and clumsy in the surf zone at the North
Shore. They tried the smaller soft foam surfboards but they creased and
broke in half. They needed something that was agile, floated 2
people and was super strong. So they did what they do when they
need a strong, long lasting rescue sled for their Jetskis- they
called Kenu. Notice the deep side grooves for max control and
gripping power. The handles are put on with stainless steel
bolts- maximum strength. They even got their logo custom printed
on the front and back of these 5 1/2 foot long badboys! Also note
that these boards all have a special plug for leg leashes, and a
grippy (not rashy) soft top with a comfortable belly groove to help the rescuer
stay centered on the board during uncertain times. These boards
are going to the North Shore/Pipeline and Sunset area and the Makaha/West side area. Watch for two people on a big white Kenu
bodyboard go streaking past you if you are out at one of those
spots.
